Collegiate Academy of Colorado is a tuition-free Jeffco public college prep charter school.
CAC was founded in 1994 as a community-run charter school for grades 7-12 with a focus on preparing high risk gifted and talented students find academic and personal success. In 1999, CAC relocated to our current location and added the Elementary grades, becoming a K-12 school. We also changed our name to Collegiate Academy of Colorado, and re-defined our focus to target motivated, college-bound students who were not finding success in traditional schools. Today, CAC continues to operate as a college preparatory K-12 school, using the Core Knowledge curricular framework in K-6, blending Core Knowledge with our Pre-AP program in grades 7-8, and culminating in a strong and diverse AP and Honors program in grades 9-12. CAC balances rigorous academic expectations of our students with small class sizes and individualized attention to help students meet and exceed our academic standards as well as their personal goals.
